Though we are very happy to welcome back many of our members, I would like to take this moment to remember Kingsley Shacklebolt. He was at the trial of Marcus Flint where the Minister and the Wizengamot was massacred. He has been reported as one of the people who died in that room. As we know from the report of the Prophet employee the Death Eaters let go, it was Voldemort who led the Death Eaters into the Ministry with help from an insider no doubt. It was He who is responsible for all of this, as we should be very aware of. It might have been rumors but we should never take such things lightly.
Kingsley was a great man and an invaluable member of the Order of the Phoenix. His loss will be deeply felt and we'll regret to know that we'll need him in the coming storm. He lived bravely and justly and was fair and true to all of us who knew him. He was a great man and has lived a great and fulfilling life. He will be sorely missed.

Our numbers are growing, as we're all aware, and we're very glad to see more and more people become interested in fighting for our cause. On that note, we'd like to welcome Marissa Makshakov as the newest member among us. She's close friends with Bill and he was able to tell us all we needed to know about her and we're grateful that she decided to join. She's a great addition and don't be too surprised if we ask her to help us out with the training meetings with her knowledge.
Welcome Marissa. We suggest that you attend all training meetings that you possibly can. These are vital and will help save your life and the lives of others in days to come. Hopefully someday we can all rest from our worries, but for now, we're constantly on our toes and on the look out.

Well, I never thought it could get quiet here at Grimmauld. It's normally seeing at least two visitors at a time and other than the late nights there's hardly a moment's peace. Staying here like this has actually made me think of Sirius. I might know how he felt in some way, to have to stay here for his own safety. It all wasn't exactly the same situation, but I still might understand, even though I'm hardly as reckless as he was.
At least I get to see the moon when it's full, if that can be considered a blessing.

I cannot believe Im seeing this. We are all very aware of the dangers of being part of the Order of the Phoenix. You all are told about this when you volunteered to join us. Oliver and Katie were attacked because of what was said on the journals. It makes it even more tempting for the Death Eaters that they are part of the Order. They know this because the two of them were members when we fought against He Who Must Not Be Named last time when we thought he was destroyed. We ALL knew that this was a dangerous position to take buy it was a danger that was WORTH taking. Are you all trying to say that this wasnt expected? That retribution wasnt a possibility? That is naive of you and disappointing if its true. I had thought highly of you all, thought you would be better than to think we were all safe. While it is sad to have friends hurt, we KNEW it was possible and THAT is why we are working so DAMN hard to end this.
You are all members of the Order. Most of you have been for a long time now, do you honestly think that we are sitting by and letting this happen?! There is NOTHING we can do. We cannot find them and pay them back for what they\\\'ve done to two of our members. We are trying the BEST we can. If you cannot support that then you dont deserve to consider yourselves one of our number. We are training several times a week; nearly every day. If you think that is doing nothing then get out. You arent wanted here. We are all teaching you all that we know and working hard to ensure you all learn as best as you can. This is the appreciation you show? If you really think this is nothing, let us know so we can make sure we stop wasting our time on you.
Their time will come, we are working as hard as HELL to make sure of it. Dont you DARE think for one bloody second that we are just sitting around crying about this. The danger is real. The possibility of death; is real. If you cannot accept that... well then you are a naive delusional child who has yet to come into the real world where the rest of us are.

I've have a lot of time to sit and think; being that I'm dead, no longer with a job, and unable to make public appearances. I know that this was all explained once before during an Order meeting, but I'd like to appologize again for keeping you all in the dark before. It was a hard thing to do and I knew that it wouldn't go well with many of you. It's not a good thing to fool your friends and for that I am sorry. I just hope that our friendships haven't been damaged by my choice to keep the truth from you all.

A window to my house was broken when I got home from work the other day. Everything was fine inside so I think that if it was done by someone then they didn't go in. Not that there would be anything of worth to steal. But then again, one man's trash is another man's treasure. I fixed the window easily enough.

Well, Tonks and I haven’t made any definite plans about the wedding, we’d let you all know if we did of course. I hope it’s a small one with just our friends there with us. Tonks has been practicing her name in front of a mirror; I saw her doing it but didn’t let her know I was there. It’s really adorable and I’m happier than I have ever been in my life to have someone as wonderful as her to love and who will love me in return.
Harry; when you find the time, I’d like to talk with you. Just let me know when you’re able to stop by ok?

I did it. I finally proposed to her. I love her so much. Finally. We haven't set a date or anything yet. We're just so happy... I never thought I would get married. I've always dreamed of it of course, dreamed of having something normal that other people had. I know, I really should have married her a long time ago. Maybe I just wasn't ready, but I am now. I'm ready to be married.

With the attack on New Years, the prejudices and hate that many would have believed to be dissolved seem to have reappeared over night. There are those who seem to believe that being a werewolf would automatically qualify a person as a monster who would prey on their children at night or who was responsible for the death of a loved one. The werewolves that were part of the attack were led by Fenrir Greyback who; as a Death Eater, was following the orders of his master. I am not a Death Eater and I have no dealings with them or with the werewolves involved in such atrocities.
There are those that assume that because I am a werewolf that I am one of the pack of outlawed criminals that are feared for good reason. I have shown myself to be against them time and again. All my life I have been feared and hated for the blood within my veins. I cannot change that about myself but I believe I've worked hard enough for long enough for all of you who know who I am to know well that I am not a monster. I've worked hard and tirelessly to prove this publicly after it became public knowledge that Remus John Lupin was in fact a werewolf. I believe I've done quite enough for the good of the wizarding world to not have my path doubted and mocked all over again simply because of the tragic actions of others.
I ask you to please don't associate me with them once more, to stop wasting your time with hateful actions toward me when you should all be focused on the real danger that lies out there. Please be alert and ready for anything. There is no telling what will come next.

Things at work are finally starting to go smoother. The muggle communities and the wizarding communities are meshing better together and those of us here in the Department of Muggle and Wizard Cooperation are able to take a breather. Which means I've finally got some spare time, but what to do with that spare time, now there's a question. I suppose I'll end up staying home, reading a book I've already read until dusk when I'll finally go to bed. Although, I wonder how everyone else is fairing these days. I haven't seen a few of my good friends for awhile, that gives me the option of sending out some owls. There we go, I'll send some owls and read a book. Funny how I had to write this decision out in order to make up my mind.

Of course there is still opposition to my working at the Ministry among the others that work there. I can't blame them for not wanting a werewolf among them, after all, we've made quite the reputation for ourselves over the years. I really ought to find something else to do after we get things settled; or as settled as we can, between the two peoples. It would be better that way.
